I know that everyone’s story is different, and so is the path to healing. My approach is grounded in understanding who you are and what you need, so our work together feels meaningful, supportive, and uniquely your own. I aim to create a space where you can share freely and feel truly seen and heard. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you and move at a pace that feels right for you. Through this personalized process, we’ll aim to deepen your self-awareness, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support your growth and ability to create positive change in your life.
Appreciating your uniqueness, I apply a holistic and integrative approach to supporting your mental health that takes into consideration your emotional, physical, behavioural, and social well-being to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities of psychotherapy to support your growth & progress including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocesssing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and various mindfulness techniques.
I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel comfortable to express yourself openly without the fear of judgment. I approach therapy from an inclusive, anti-oppression standpoint.
Working from a trauma-informed lens, I approach your experiences with deep compassion and understanding, always prioritizing your safety and well-being. Your comfort is paramount, and every step of the therapeutic process is designed to go at your preferred pace and with your needs in mind.
Psychotherapy is a supportive, talk-based process built on trust, connection, and collaboration. At its core, therapy centres around building a strong therapeutic relationship with you and creating a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can be yourself, explore what’s on your mind, and move toward change at a pace that feels right for you.
Therapy is not about being “fixed.” It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, recognizing your strengths, and developing practical tools to help you think, feel, and respond in ways that better support your life. Together, we use evidence-based approaches to support your emotional well-being, healthier relationships, and an improved quality of life.

Couples therapy offers a supportive space to slow things down and talk about what’s been hard to address on your own. It’s a place where both partners can feel heard, understood, and respected while exploring concerns that may be creating distance, tension, or disconnection in the relationship.
Using a compassionate, non-judgemental approach, sessions draw from evidence-based models such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. Together, we focus on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck and gently working toward healthier ways of relating. Couples therapy considers both individual experiences and the dynamics between you, recognizing that each partner plays an important role in the relationship.

Nicola also offers coaching as a certified coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Coaching is not psychotherapy. Coaching takes a strength-based and appreciative approach that focuses on deepening your awareness through conversation. Coaching focuses on your present situation and future goals rather than on your past experiences to help you close the gap between where you currently are and where you want to be. Through collaborative partnership, coaching helps you clarify your goals, create a plan to bring about the change you are seeking, and move towards living your best life with increased confidence.
